After a two-year break for Covid, we are delighted to welcome back our CASA summer exhibition.
Like in previous years, this will be held at the Cedar Centre on the Saturday of the Castor Summer Festival, 9 July 2022, and Sunday 10 July.
The exhibition is open not just to CASA members, but to any resident of the Castor Benefice parishes (Castor, Ailsworth, Sutton, Upton, Marholm, Stibbington and Water Newton). Whether you're a regular painter or just starting out, we'd be delighted to show your artwork. Most of our exhibition is of paintings, but we also feature drawings, crafts, prints, sculpture, ceramics or whatever kind of work of art you can think of.
You can exhibit a work for sale, or just for fun. If you would like to offer something for sale, please specify your price. Please note that a 15% commission will be taken on anything sold at the exhibition, with the 10% going to CASA and 5% going to the church as thanks for the use of the Cedar Centre for the weekend.
We will have the Cedar Centre open from 10.30am until 6.00pm on Friday 8 July while we set up, so please bring anything you would like to exhibit during those hours. You will need to collect your exhibits on the Sunday afternoon or at our usual Monday morning meeting.
When delivering your artworks, please be ready to let us know the name of the picture/work, the name of the artist, and its sale price (or specify it is not for sale - we will assume anything without a sale price is NFS). We will need to keep a record of everything so we can make sure your painting/sale proceeds go back to the right person!
With the enforced break for Covid, it is likely the exhibition will be a bit smaller than previous years. We are planning to exhibit on easels and tabletop stands rather than hanging works on the screens as usual. If you are able to let us have an easel or stand on which to exhibit your work, that would be very much appreciated. Please label your easel or stand it you can, but we will be able to mark them with sticky labels if you need.
There will also be a vote from our visitors for the best exhibit of the year - who knows, you could be a prize-winning artist!
